How does a “working interest” investment work?
Working Interest in an oil and gas well is an ownership interest in the operations of the well. Once royalties are paid, the working interest also entitles its owner to share in production revenues with other working interest owners, based on the percentage of working interest owned. There are significant tax benefits related to investing in working interest which are not available to other investment classes.
How long will it be before I receive my first monthly royalty check?
An investor should expect the first monthly royalty check at 4 to 9 months of investing in a project. This time frame is dependent upon several factors including number and type of well(s) in the project, the status of the project at the time of investment and timely availability of equipment, gas lines and other relevant necessities. Many of our multi-well projects will come on line with one well already on it's way to completion, so the investor may realize a monthly royalty check for one well while the others move through the completion process at different time frames
What does turn-key mean?
In some cases projects are estimated at a certain cost but, due to unforeseen circumstances, go over budget. In these instances many independent operators would look back to the investors to incur these costs, however in a turn-key agreement, the costs are incurred by the operator. All of Halek Energy’s projects are designed as turn-key agreements
